STRATEGY
This adventure kit was created with handcrafted care and filled with novelty vintage-styled flashcards, chalks, handheld chalkboards, and books as aides for reading. The design is based on inspirations from traveling luggage used during the 1930's when archeologists, professors and others such as "Indiana Jones" traveled to exotic destinations utilizing pre-computer age instruments. This prototype is destined from Los Angeles, California, USA to the children of Cambodia for a non-profit education organization. My project is fictional and does not represent any organization; my project evolved from a student assignment.
CREATIVE SOLUTION
The design revolves around a series of traveling accessories that will help young minds understand the physical distance between places on "Planet Earth" making the study of geography as exciting as reading and writing. The presentation includes cartoons that would be part of an instructional video which acts to engage young minds in creativity. Also, magazine ads are part of the donation generating resources.Upcoming videos include: an instructional video and a promotional video aimed toward future donors to the program.
The adventure kit includes: a carrying case with handle, children's books, flashcards in Khmer & English, small chalkboards, and a fold-out poster/information sheet.
